Deputy Minister Valentin Yovev: The Cadastre Map of the Entire Country Is to Be Ready within up to Five Years

“The cadastre map of the entire country is to be finally ready within up to five years and this is one of the priorities in the work of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. Hard work is done on the transformation of the maps of restituted ownership and of the land division plans of cadastre maps, the elimination of the so called evident and factual errors is forthcoming and they are most of all in the linear sites in the areas around the urbanized territories where they border on agricultural lands.”

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Valentin Yovev today. According to his words, the upgrading of the cadastre maps by specialized maps for a number of territories in the country, as, for instance, for landslide areas, is amongst the main tasks in this direction as well. “Such are the maps along the Black Sea coast which we have already made, Yovev explained and pointed out that with the specialized maps the citizens will have access to more additional information.

The Deputy Minister participated in Forum “Property, Ideas & Investments“ in the capital. At the event Valentin Yovev called the representatives of the local power to bigger initiative with regard to the electronic access to services for the citizens, showing as an example the electronic and already generally accessible map provided by the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency. He also announced that there already are talks with almost all the municipalities in the country about opening offices for servicing citizens with cadastre information for the facilitation of the population and the business.

During the forum the Deputy Regional Minister confirmed the active support which the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works renders to the municipalities providing financial resource for the development of general urban plans. “Financial transfers to the municipalities in the amount of 1 036 345 BGN were made and are in the process of realization from the month of May to October solely for this year”. Yovev explained.

”The new National Residential Strategy 2017-2030 which is being developed at the moment is also in the direction of improvement of the residential environment in the regions, on the one hand, and of the business climate in places on the other hand”, the Deputy Minister emphasized and commented that the new strategy aims, on the basis of an analysis and research for the condition and the needs of the residential sector in Bulgaria, that a new “working” model of the Bulgarian residential system should be developed, in which a solution should be found of some main problems, as, for instance, the aged and not maintained residential fund, in need of systematic repairs and renovation; the risk of constructive problems in a part of the building fund; the high energy intensity of the existing building fund; the low comfort and unhealthy living conditions and so on. “The developed at the moment residential strategy will contain an overall package of objectives of the state residential policy, the means for their attainment and the responsibilities of the stakeholders – the citizens, the state, the municipalities, the private and the non-governmental sectors”, the Deputy Minister commented and announced that it is expected that the final draft of the Strategy will be completed by the end of November this year.
