INTERREG-IPA CBC Bulgaria – the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Programme 2014-2020 - Eligible Programme area

The programme area covers administrative regions at NUTS III or equivalent level, located along the border between the two partnering countries as follows:

In Bulgaria: district of Blagoevgrad (municipalities of Bansko, Belitsa, Blagoevgrad, Gotse Delchev, Garmen, Kresna, Petrich, Razlog, Sandanski, Satovcha, Simitli, Strumiani, Hadzhidimovo and Yakoruda) and district of Kyustendil (municipalities of Bobov Dol, Boboshevo, Dupnitsa, Kocherinovo, Kyustendil, Nevestino, Rila, Sapareva Banya and Treklyano).

In Macedonia: North-East region (municipalities of Kratovo, Kriva Palanka, Rankovce, Kumanovo, Lipkovo and Staro Nagoricane); South-East region (municipalities of Valandovo, Gevgelija, Bogdanci, Dojran, Radovish, Konche, Strumica, Bosilovo, Vasilevo and Novo Selo); and East region (municipalities of Berovo, Pehcevo, Vinitsa, Kocani, Cheshinovo – Obleshevo, Zrnovtsi, Probistip, Stip, Karbinci, Delchevo and Makedonska Kamenica).

The eligible area covers 50 municipalities in the territory of 18 087 sq. km. with a total population of 980 375 people (452 973 inhabitants on Bulgarian eligible territory and 527 402 residents of the Macedonian eligible territory).
