“Beyond the scope of the Contract with the Contractor there are some more things which should be done, at a purely expert level and this, in the first place, is the development of drafts of amendments in one hundred and four legislative acts“, the Regional Minister also announced. “The second task is related to the manner of control, along with Road Infrastructure Agency, of the process of introduction of the system itself“, Nankov added and supplemented as a third task – the need of creation of a financial model for tariffing and scope of the system, of certain sections from the national road network which shall be target of a toll.

“The input scope of the system, in the assignment of the procedure of over 80% of the national roads, will most probably be reduced“, Nankov forecast and emphasized that according to him between 50% and 2/3 of the national road network will be really comprised by the tolls. In conformity with his words, however, the experts shall be those who shall prepare the needed analyses.

Before journalists today the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works also commented the damages of the national road network after the torrential rains, which according to his words add up to nearly four million BGN. “There are demolitions on national roads, slopes included, along Trakia Motorway, whose elimination we undertook by our own budget“, Nankov said and announced that the passing along road Burgas – Sredets is troubled as of this time.

“After the flood, as early as on 25 October, to a maximally fast degree we started the restoration of bridge facilities in Gorno Ezerovo, Cherni Vrah (the Black Peak) as well as along the national roads so that no blocked up populated areas should remain”, the Minister added and reminded that as early as on the same day nearly all the roads were open, with the exception of road junction Bratovo and the section between Dolno Ezerovo – Bratovo – Polski Izvor, which were open on the next day.

The Regional Minister also announced that the three dam lakes for potable-household water supply, which the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works maintains with regard to the water supply and sewerage operators – Kamchia, Yasna Polyana and Novo Panicharevo are in perfect operational condition.

The Minister once again reminded that it is the obligation of each owner of a dam lake, inclusive of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, to fulfill the instructions of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance, as a unified control authority, responsible for the control and the operation of the technical state and the good working condition of the dam lakes.
