350 000 lv. for urgent repair works of Route E 87 overpass on the territory of Burgas Municipality have been ensured

350 000 lv. have been ensured from the budget of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works for urgent repair works of Route E 87 overpass on the territory of Burgas Municipality. That was announced today after the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Dimcho Mihalevsky with the District Governor and the Mayor of Burgas. The Deputy Minister visited the damaged overpass in Burgas on the orders of the Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov. The inspection at site established the necessity of urgent repairs. By the end of the year will be signed a contract with an awarded contractor for the implementation of the repair works on the overpass. The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Municipality of Burgas came to the agreement to mobilize the necessary resources for the overcoming of the risky situation. During the next year will be ensured the means for the implementation of the necessary additional works reflected in the draft project. The overpass is a part of the European Transport Corridor N_9 and covers the whole Bulgarian Black Sea linking the border with Romania and the Republic of Turkey. It collapsed at the beginning of December. As a result of the crash was formed a hole with diameter of about 60 cm and a crack of about 3 mm which made impossible the use of the international road.
