Kazakhstan is highly interested in the oil pipeline Bourgas-Alexandroupolis and is ready to participate in it depending on the outcome of the negotiations after updating the indicators of the project, which is carried out by the ILF consultants, announced the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works having returned from his working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The goal of the visit is to make a review the agreements and commitments from the First Session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Kazakh Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific Cooperation, as well as to discuss the opportunity for Bulgarian construction companies to work more actively in Kazakhstan. In the capital Astana Minister Cerovski met with representatives of the management body of the National Oil Company KazMunaiGas – Timur Kulibaev, First Vice-President in charge of the state policy on oil production and export, and Sabr Elsimbekov – Executive Director, who is also responsible for the transport infrastructure. Minister Cerovski announced that the long-term planning of oil production in Kazakhstan coincided with the analyses of the 25-year prognoses of the companies, which were discussed during his visits to Moscow, Washington and London in relation with the implementation of the project. During those visits Minister Cerovski met with representatives of LUKOIL, Yukos, Exxon Mobil, Chevron Texaco, Lazis Group, British Petroleum, as well as ILF. Bulgaria already has the complete information we need to continue the work on the project Bourgas-Alexandroupolis, added Minister Valentin Cerovski. He commented that the opinion of the consultants and heads of the Russian and Kazakh oil companies was that the project had the best economic indicators of all competitive projects. During his meetings in Kazakhstan Minister Cerovski has presented the agreed position of Bulgaria with Greece for implementation of the project Bourgas-Alexandroupolis. During the meeting of Minister Valentin Cerovski with Mrs. Gulzhana Karagusova, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population, it was agreed that the Second Session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Kazakh Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific Cooperation would be held during the second half-year of this year. The two ministers are co-chairs of the Joint Commission and its first session was held in 1998 in Sofia. During his visit to Kazkhstan Minister Valentin Cerovski also had meetings with the Minister of Transport and communications Kazhmurad Nagminov and the Deputy Minister Erlan Koshanov, with representatives of the management body of the Construction Committee, with the chairman of the Employer Union Mr. Baykenov and others. During the Second Session of the Joint Commission in Kazakhstan it was agreed to be held Business Forum with the participation of companies from the two countries.
