The Government Extended the Term for Development of a Strategy for Financing Branch Water Supply and Sewerage under the Agreement for Provision of Consulting Services

The Government extended up to 12.11.2017 the term for development of the strategy for financing branch water supply and sewerage under the Agreement for Provision of Consulting Services between the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed during the month of February 2016. The development of a report on the implementation of the activities for revaluation of the public water supply and sewerage assets is also repealed by the Decision.

The extension of the term for development of a Strategy for Financing Branch Water Supply and Sewerage aims at the determination of an amount, sources and manners for financing branch water supply and sewerage through discussion amongst a great number of stakeholders. The development of the report is repealed due to the impossibility for its being drawn up during the period of effect of the Agreement. This will also result in the reduction of the value of the Agreement.

The activities under the Agreement are implemented within the framework of Project “Rendering assistance to the effectiveness, the management and the institutional capacity in branch water supply and sewerage”, financed by Operational Programme “Environment” 2014-2020.
