The implementation of the concluded contracts under Phare CBC Programme is starting, "Joint Small Projects Fund for Bulgaria-Greece Cross-Border Cooperation", Financial Memorandum 2001. 15 projects at the total amount of 500 000 Euro will be implemented. The projects are due to be implemented by the end of 2004. The official ceremony on the occasion of the start of the implementation of the contracts will take place in the City Hall of the Municipality Council in the town of Smolyan, on 6 February 2004, Friday 4 p.m. The ceremony will be attended by Mrs. Petya Gegova, Deputy Minister of the Regional Development and Public Works, His Excellency Dimitris Kourkoulas, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, representatives of the beneficiary organizations, the local authorities from the region, etc. Training of the organizations, which have been awarded grant schemes under the Joint Small Projects Fund, will take place before the ceremony.
