Today, the 12th October /Monday/ 2009, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Rosen Plevneliev and the Deputy Minster Ekaterina Zaharieva took part in the round-table talks “For a better Law for Territory Planning /LTP/”, organized by the National Center for Territorial Development.

At the opening of the forum, the Minister announced that the clear rules and the simplified procedures are a part of the prerequisites for the improvement of the business climate in Bulgaria. The legislation changes will give a chance to the municipalities and the State to quickly build the infrastructure up, and to attract investors to the country.

Minister Plevneliev accented that if there need be changes in the LTP, they will have to have a quick and long-term effect, and be transparent. According to him, the frequent changes in the Law up to now were all connected with lobbyist interests, and did not aid the business in Bulgaria. The changes need to be done through a public presentation of the ideas that are to be defended in Parliament, and be of help to the whole economy. The Minister added that there is no stronger anti-crisis measure at the moment than the European money, but if the necessary changes are no implemented soon, we will not be able to use it.
