Workgroup will prepare amendments within Ordinance № 11 from 3rd July 2001, concerning the traffic of oversized and/or heavy vehicles

Until Monday a workgroup, comprising representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Work, the Road Infrastructure Agency, the Customs Agency and the Bulgarian Association of road and transport associations, have to prepare a draft amendment of Ordinance № 11 from 3rd July 2001, concerning the traffic of oversized and/or heavy vehicles. The fact clarified today, on a meeting with the Minister of Regional Development and Public Work- Rosen Plevneliev.

Corrections will stipulate changes in the parameters, defining vehicles as oversized and/or heavy. Subject of discussion is the maximum size of the vehicles when it comes to using the public roads. The amendments will be as follows: height till now 4, 00 meters, height after the changes 4,25 meters length of  vehicles with one or more trailers will be changed from 18,75 meters to 20,75 meters.

The change is discussed, so the procedure of regulating the tax collection for the roads of the national network is eased.

All the changes in the regulation will be consistent with the requirements of the European directives and practices.
